Endgame Routine

The daily and weekly loop of a max-level Aion 2 character: the one daily task, Command Scrolls, Odyle Energy and weekly dungeon limits, alts and Kina, Nightmare and Ascension Trial, daily dungeons, Shugo Festa, Abyss time, sieges and field bosses.

Aion 2's day resets at 07:00 UTC (00:00 PDT, 09:00 CEST) on the global servers and its week with the Wednesday maintenance, and the endgame routine in Aion 2 is the set of daily and weekly activities a character repeats once it reaches the level cap, and on the Korean and Taiwanese servers it is built mostly around weekly limits rather than daily chores. Society Of Gaming's guide to the global release, based on more than 1,000 hours on those servers, puts it simply: there is a great deal to do in the endgame, but "there is basically only one thing" players must do every day. NC's global team describes the same design: "For things like dungeons and stuff, it's primarily on a weekly cycle", chosen so that daily players, occasional players and weekend players can all keep up (Hardcore Gamer). Getting to the cap is covered on Leveling, and the content itself on Dungeons.

Quick facts

Only daily task Five Duty quests a day, about 15 to 20 minutes (Society Of Gaming)
Dungeon cycle Mostly weekly (NC)
Weekly reward limits (Korea and Taiwan) Expedition 21 and Transcendence 14, since May 13, 2026
Dungeon rewards Reward cubes opened with Odyle Energy; entry tickets removed on Jul 1, 2026 (Korea and Taiwan)
Odyle Energy recharge 10 every three hours, 15 with membership (Anders, Korea); 15 every three hours for everyone on the global build (Anders; Grobs)
Daily dungeons 14 entries a week, shared across a server
Ascension Trial Three runs a week per character
Shugo Festa Every hour, seven entries a week (Society Of Gaming, May 2026)
Abyss time Seven hours a week per map; 14 with membership in Korea
Shugo Festa keys (global) Stack to 12, or 21 with the Special Quai Membership (NC, Sep 28, 2026)
Daeva Pass (global) Up to 50,000 Pass EXP per character a week, from missions such as Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds and Shugo Festa

The one daily task: Duty quests

The single daily job is Duty quests. A player picks five a day from a list and can reroll it cheaply; the prize worth hunting is the crystals that power up the pet system, and only the reward in the first position is guaranteed, so Society Of Gaming chooses quests with a crystal there. The five take 15 to 20 minutes in all, and everything else is weekly. The limit is shared, so doing the quests on an alternate character uses up the main character's allowance on that server (Pets and Mounts).

Anders's guide to the global launch, published on Sep 15, 2026, adds the weekly counterpart. Command Scrolls, bought from the command shop NPC in the faction's main town, give 12 more open-world tasks a week. Both kinds of task show a row of possible rewards whose chances fall from left to right, so the trick is to reroll for Kina until the reward wanted sits in the first or second slot. Society Of Gaming notes that Abyss versions of the scrolls are sold in the Abyss, and that unused scrolls do not expire at the weekly reset.

Dungeons and Odyle Energy

Party dungeons are the core of the week, but they are not daily. Society Of Gaming's routine guide of May 2026 shows the three counters that govern them: Odyle Energy, entries to each dungeon and a boss loot counter, then at 35 a week. A player can clear the whole week's allowance on Monday and Tuesday and be free for the rest of it. NC raised the weekly reward limits on May 13, 2026, Expedition from 14 to 21 and Transcendence from 7 to 14 (NC), and on Jul 1, 2026 removed the tickets previously needed for Expedition and Transcendence, making rewards obtainable through Odyle Energy instead (NC; Expedition Dungeons, Transcendence Dungeons).

At the end of a run the rewards come from the Odyle Energy Cube, and opening it costs Odyle Energy. Anders says energy regenerates at 10 every three hours, or 15 with the membership, so it should not be wasted on dungeons a character has outgrown. On the global build he saw Exploration runs pay bound Kina and Conquest runs unbound Kina. aselon_eu adds that members can open the cube twice by spending twice the energy, and Society Of Gaming warns against sitting at the energy cap, where recharge is wasted (Membership).

When a main character runs out of energy, a player can switch to an alternate character and keep farming, but aselon_eu says there is no need for an army of them: on the Korean version, Kina gains start to fall after roughly 84 dungeon reward cubes a week, a limit shared across the server, so about four characters are plenty. Society Of Gaming gives the steps: after 83 runs across all of an account's characters, dungeons pay 80% of their Kina, after 104 runs 60%, and after 125 runs 40%. Kina (Bound), which cannot be traded, was split from ordinary Kina on Mar 25, 2026 (NC; Kina and Quna).

Society Of Gaming's day-one guide for the global launch, recorded on the Korean and Taiwanese client, says NC has "greatly nerfed alt gameplay", so that Aion 2 "will not be your second job like Lost Ark"; he suggests two or three optional alternate characters, created in the first week before the first weekly reset.

The raids, the Sanctuaries, are weekly as well. Anders says the clear rules have changed several times since the Korean launch, but each raid can currently be cleared once a week for rewards; the global version starts with a single ten-player raid (Sanctuary Raids).

Solo weekly content

Nightmare is solo boss practice with ten difficulty levels per boss. Each character gets two entries a day, and in Korea unused entries stack up to 14, so a week's runs can be saved; the fights pay Phantasmal Fragments for the Nightmare shop. The Ascension Trial allows three runs a week per character, each a timed clear of several zones and a final boss, and it is one of the best sources of Stigma shards (Nightmare and Ascension Trial). Instant-clear tickets, if the global version gets them as Korea has, let players claim repeat Nightmare rewards without fighting.

Daily dungeons and Shugo Festa

Despite the name, daily dungeons are weekly: 14 runs a week per server, shared across all three dungeons rather than 14 each. One pays enhancement stones, one boxes of pet fragments from the Odium Repository, and one bound Kina. Anders recommends the enhancement stones early on, when every character is short of them (Daily Dungeons and Shugo Festa).

MR4KTV likes the arrangement for exactly that reason: because entries last the week, a "weekend warrior" can leave dungeons for Saturday and Sunday and log in for ten minutes on other days just for the Duty quests. Members can also buy instant-clear tickets and finish the daily dungeon without running it 14 times.

Shugo Festa, the Shugo mini-games, starts every hour, but Society Of Gaming counted a limit of seven entries a week in May 2026. The games pay a currency that buys Wisdom Stones for skills, Daevanion crystals, soul crystals for pets, wings and outfits, as well as some Abyss Points. Anders describes the entries as reward keys: free players recharge one a day and members two with double rewards, the keys stack up to 14, and he suggests saving them until level cap, when the rewards are most useful.

The Abyss, sieges and field bosses

Abyss play is rationed by time. Anders explains that players without membership get seven hours a week in each Abyss map and members in Korea 14, and he recommends doing the weekly Abyss Command Scrolls right after the weekly reset, since Abyss Points are needed for Stigma skill points even by PvE players (The Abyss (Reshanta)).

Two Abyss events come on a schedule. NC's hosts say the Abyss world boss battle happens twice a week at each server's prime time, with the interface warning players when it starts, and artifact battles about three times a week (Artifact Siege). Winning an artifact opens the Abyss Corridor, which aselon_eu says each character can enter once per capture.

Open-world field bosses run on timers rather than weekly limits. Anders says most Korean field bosses respawn every one and a half to four hours, the in-game map lists their timers, and drops improve with damage dealt, which is why players hunt them in parties; MR4KTV adds that the Abyss has its own world bosses with different materials. Weekly PvP rewards round out the list, such as the three victory and three participation rewards of the Battlefield.

The routine on the global version

Most of this carried over to the global version, which opened to Founder's Pack buyers in Advanced Access on Sep 30, 2026 and launched for everyone on Oct 5 (Global Release), with smaller numbers at first. Anders's launch guide describes six Expeditions without Hard modes, two Transcendence dungeons, one raid, five daily Duty quests, 12 weekly Command Scrolls and 14 weekly daily-dungeon runs, and warned that the membership's Shugo Festa bonus was missing from the global announcement. NC's revised membership notice (updated Sep 28, 2026) settles that: the Special Quai Membership raises the Shugo Festa key cap from 12 to 21, allows two Odyle Energy injections per reward cube in Expedition, Transcendence and Sanctuary instead of one, and raises the Odyle Energy cap (NC; Membership).

The global Daeva Pass adds a weekly layer of its own. The Dawn Legion (Elyos) and Ishalgen Mercenary (Asmodian) pass, on sale from Sep 30 to Dec 15, 2026, has 100 levels and caps Pass EXP at 50,000 per character a week; its missions pay for clearing Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds, taking part in the Shugo Festival, completing regional quests and logging in (NC). For the first month there is also a ranking to chase: NC's Transcendence Dungeon Leaderboard awards Rank Points for Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis from Oct 5 to Nov 2 (from Sep 30 on the early access servers), ranked per server and class (NC on Steam; Transcendence Dungeons).

Checklists for the global servers

Creators rewrote their routines for the global build. Grobs's daily and weekly checklist of Sep 28, 2026 confirms the single daily job: five Duty quests a day in the journal, once per server, so they cannot be repeated on alternate characters, each taking a minute or two; he looks for crystals, Hidden Cube keys and golden Unique items among the random rewards. His weeklies are the three Ascension Trial runs on every character, the 14 daily dungeon tickets, which also reset weekly and which he spends only on the main, and the three Battlefield victory rewards, again on every character.

Odyle Energy works differently on the global build. Grobs gives the cost of opening a dungeon's reward cube as 40 Odyle, or 80 for a subscriber who opens it twice; energy recharges by 15 every three hours, 120 a day, and stores up to 840, unlocks at level 22 with Krao Cave and belongs to each character separately. Anders noticed the change on the first day of the Launch Scale Test: 15 every three hours is the old Korean membership rate, now given to free players, which he reckons at three runs a day.

The first week depends on when a character starts. Grobs assumes the weekly reset falls on a Wednesday, the weekday on which Advanced Access opened; on that assumption, which NC had not confirmed, early access players get a full seven days before the first reset and Oct 5 starters only two. His day-one plan is to bring every character to level 22 so that all of them start recharging Odyle Energy, and then to take the main character to 45 for Nightmare tickets and Duty quests (Leveling).

Frequently asked questions

When is the daily reset in Aion 2? At 07:00 UTC on the global servers, which is midnight PDT and 09:00 CEST; the weekly reset follows the Wednesday maintenance. Countdowns for your region are on Timers and the Daily and Weekly Checklist.

What do you have to do every day in Aion 2's endgame? Only the five Duty quests, which take about 15 to 20 minutes. Everything else, from dungeons to daily dungeons, runs on weekly limits.

How many dungeon rewards do you get each week? On the Korean servers since May 13, 2026, 21 Expedition rewards and 14 Transcendence rewards, each opened with Odyle Energy. NC had not published the global weekly limits as of Sep 30, 2026.

What is Odyle Energy? The resource spent to open a dungeon's reward cube. On the Korean servers it recharges by 10 every three hours, or 15 with membership, according to Anders; on the global build every player gets 15, and Grobs gives the cube's cost as 40 and the store as 840.

Are alternate characters worth playing? A few are. Daily limits such as Duty quests and daily dungeons are shared across a server, and Kina rewards fall after about 84 dungeon rewards a week, so aselon_eu reckons about four characters in total is enough.

Can you save up unused entries? Many, yes. Daily dungeon entries last the week, Nightmare entries and Shugo Festa keys stack up to 14, and Command Scrolls do not expire at the weekly reset.

Does the membership change the routine? It speeds it up: faster Odyle Energy recharge, a doubled reward cube selection and, in Korea, doubled Abyss time and extra Shugo Festa keys. On the global servers NC lists two Odyle Energy injections per reward cube instead of one, a higher Odyle Energy cap and a Shugo Festa key cap of 21 instead of 12.

Is there a weekly cap on the global Daeva Pass? Yes: each character can earn up to 50,000 Pass EXP a week on the Dawn Legion and Ishalgen Mercenary pass, which runs to Dec 15, 2026.
