Daily Dungeons and Shugo Festa

Aion 2's casual repeatable content: the daily dungeons Bio Research Base, Odium Storage and Crobahki's Secret Depository with their shared weekly entries, and the Shugo Festa (Shugo Festival) mini-games, keys and rewards.

Daily dungeons and the Shugo Festa are the casual repeatable content of Aion 2. The daily dungeons are short solo instances that pay out enhancement stones, pet fragments or Kina; the Shugo Festa, also called the Shugo Festival or Shugo Games, is an hourly round of competitive mini-games. NC unveiled both for the first time on its Aion2NIGHT livestream of Aug 8, 2025, listing them as casual content alongside the solo, party and PvP modes (NC). Neither is difficult, but Society Of Gaming calls the Shugo games very rewarding and important for endgame progression despite their light-hearted look, and creators fit both into the weekly routine described on Endgame Routine. Details below describe the Korean and Taiwanese service unless the global version, open in Advanced Access since Sep 30, 2026 and to everyone from Oct 5, is named.

Daily dungeons

The daily dungeons are solo instances with a limited number of entries a week. In Anders' overview, Bio Research Base gives a large amount of enhancement stones, Odium Storage (which he calls the Odium Repository) gives rewards for pets, and Crobahki's Secret Depository farms Kina. Players can run any mix of them up to 14 times a week, and the limit is shared across the server, so an alt cannot run them once the main character has used the entries. Early on he advises putting the entries into Bio Research Base, since new characters are short of enhancement stones (Enhancement and Soul Imprint).

Society Of Gaming points out that the name misleads: the daily dungeons are really weekly, with 14 runs a week per account. He lists the three types by reward, enhancement stones, fragments for the pet system and Kina, and recommends Odium Storage's chests of pet fragments, because pets give stats that greatly improve a character (Pets and Mounts).

MR4KTV weighs the same choice. Enhancement stones help only the character they are earned on, while the boxes of pets from the second dungeon feed the pet system, which benefits every character on the server, so he suggests running that one until the pets are maxed. The two play differently: in one the player collects orbs, and in the other kills monsters, with a higher score giving more points.

How the lineup grew

Bio Research Base was the first. According to Aion2 Hub's fan translation of the Korean notes, the patch of Dec 24, 2025 added Odium Storage, which hands out Growth Pet Boxes according to the clear score, turned the old Bio Research Base ticket into an Unknown Rift ticket that opens either dungeon, and cut Bio Research Base from three stages to one (Aion2 Hub).

aselon_eu explains why a pet dungeon appeared. The original pet system was extremely grind-heavy and players were unhappy, so the developers cut the number of souls needed to level pets, added a daily dungeon that rewards pet souls and made pets shared across a server's characters, which also let players use alts to speed up pet farming through the daily dungeons.

NC's Season 2 roadmap of January 2026 promised class-based rankings for the Daily Dungeon, as for the Ascension Trial (NC). On May 13, 2026 NC added the third dungeon, Crobahki's Secret Depository, in which players have up to 40 seconds to avoid bombs and collect coins, earning Kina (NC). The fan translation places it in the Unknown Rift alongside the other two (Aion2 Hub).

Instant completion

Since the patch of Feb 25, 2026, according to the fan translation, an Instant Complete Ticket for daily dungeons can claim up to 36 repeat rewards without running the instance (Aion2 Hub). MR4KTV shows it in use: rather than playing the dungeon 14 times, he spends tickets to clear it at once. The tickets cost resources, and he notes that a subscription is needed to buy them (Membership).

Because the entries are counted by the week rather than the day, MR4KTV argues the content suits players who only have weekends: they can save the daily dungeons for Saturday and Sunday and log in for ten minutes on weekdays for the daily duties.

Shugo Festa

Every hour, on the hour, the Shugo Festival starts and players pick which mini-game to enter. Anders lists racing, hide-and-seek, defending Shugo merchants and a memory game among the options. Players compete against each other and their rank decides the reward: gear, materials and tokens that are exchanged for skill points, Daevanion crystals, skins, wings, pets and Pantheon decorations. Each mini-game has achievements, so he suggests trying every one at least three times. Steam's store page describes the festival the same way, with protecting Shugos from waves of enemies, racing pets and dodging lasers among the games, and wings, skins, pets and décor among the rewards (Steam).

Society Of Gaming counted ten types of Shugo game in May 2026. A round can be played every hour, but entries are limited to seven a week. Besides the ranked rewards, the games pay a special currency that buys Wisdom Stones, which upgrade skills (Skills, Stigmas and Macros), Soul Crystals for the pet system, crystals for the Daevanion system (Daevanion Boards), Soul Codex books, wings, a pet, Pantheon decorations and two outfits (Cash Shop and Cosmetics). The games also pay Abyss Points, the currency for PvP gear.

He runs through the kinds of game on offer: races through rings, treasure hunts, a game of jumping ever higher, balloon shooting, a floor-tile memory game known as "not this tile", jumping over traps, racing, a hide-and-seek game in which players transform, a golden treasure game of finding cubes against other players, and defending Shugo merchants.

The memory game became the favorite because it can be gamed. As aLuckyRO showed in January 2026, one player eats all the orbs and moves into first place while everyone else stands on the safe tiles and stops once they reach 500 points; since first and second place pay the same maximum reward, everyone who reaches second shares the top prize. Anders reports the same trick is what most players run in Korea.

Reward keys and membership

Entries come from reward keys. In Korea a free player gets one key recharge a day and a membership holder two, along with double rewards, so a top rank pays six bundles to a member and three to a free player. Keys stack up to 14, allowing a week of missed rounds. Anders pointed out that this Shugo Festival bonus was not listed in the global Membership announcement of August 2026; NC's revision of Sep 28 then gave global members a higher key cap, 21 instead of 12.

On the global version

Before the free Steam test, Society Of Gaming listed the daily dungeons among the content it would open, with the same 14 runs a week per account and the same rewards of enhancement stones, pet fragments and Kina (Launch Scale Test). In his guide to global PvE at launch, Anders said Bio Research Base and Odium Storage were expected, but that it was not yet certain whether Crobahki's Secret Depository would be, and that instant-clear tickets depended on the global version getting the same quality-of-life features as Korea. The global membership benefits NC listed in August 2026 cover storage, trading, the Market and more Odyle Energy Cube selections, without mentioning Shugo Festival keys (Steam). NC's revision of Sep 28, 2026 added them: a member can hold up to 21 Shugo Festa Keys instead of 12 (NC; Membership).

The festival ran in the Launch Scale Test of Sep 17 and 18, 2026, and newcomers stumbled into it. TheLazyPeon, playing on the Asian server, found a set of mini-games that needed a key to take part and described it as "a fun little event that just pops up every now and again, and then everyone can join at the same time", and his footage shows the Mysterious Track race. Later he joined Odyle Flight Frenzy, noted that the games "pop up every hour on the hour", ran out of flight energy halfway, and found that a player without a key can still take part but cannot flip the reward cards (Flight and Wings).

The test build was trimmed: Anders found only Bio Research Base among the daily dungeons. The Shugo Festival had fewer games, a daily recharge of three keys instead of one for free players, a membership cap of 21 keys without the Korean double rewards, and a Shugo shop that sells Stigma shards, Radiant Odyle and Pantheon paintings; he reads it as free-player resources being raised across the board. Grobs's checklist of Sep 28 gives two keys a day and a store of 14 instead, so the numbers may have changed between the test and launch. TheLazyPeon found his daily dungeon entries capped at 14, with instant clear tickets available, and noted that Transcendence, the Abyss, Nightmare, the Arena and Ascension Trial all unlock at level 45.

S4G's Kevin Link liked the mini-games but found the rhythm disruptive: the event ran every hour with rewards good enough that, with no way to sign up in advance, he interrupted whatever he was doing each time (S4G). On the first day of Advanced Access mein-mmo counted the Shugo Festival mini-games, the pet collection and PvP among the activities that add variety (mein-mmo). The global Daeva Pass pays Pass EXP for taking part in the Shugo Festival, towards a weekly cap of 50,000 per character (NC).

Frequently asked questions

How many daily dungeon runs do you get in Aion 2? Fourteen a week, shared by all characters on a server, which creators say makes them weekly rather than daily content.

Which daily dungeon should you run? Bio Research Base for enhancement stones, Odium Storage for pet fragments, or Crobahki's Secret Depository for Kina. Creators suggest enhancement stones early on and pet fragments while pets are still being leveled.

Can you skip daily dungeons? Yes. Since February 2026 in Korea an Instant Complete Ticket claims the rewards without running the instance, though MR4KTV notes the tickets need a subscription to buy.

What is the Shugo Festa? An hourly festival of mini-games, including races, hide-and-seek, a memory game and defending Shugo merchants, in which players compete for rewards by rank.

What do you get from the Shugo Festa? Materials and gear by rank, plus a currency for Wisdom Stones, crystals, wings, pets, skins and Pantheon decorations, and Abyss Points.

How many Shugo Festa entries do you get? Rounds run every hour, but entries come from reward keys: one recharge a day for free players and two for members in Korea, stacking to 14. On the global servers NC lists a key cap of 12, raised to 21 for Special Quai Membership holders.
