Composers and performers
NC's launch announcement credits a large international cast. Beside Franglen and Kunihiko, the composers it names include Kevin Penkin, Piotr Musial and Fran Soto. The Hound + The Fox and Amanda Kayrae sing, guitarist Chun Sang Hyeok plays, and three orchestras recorded parts of the album: the Chamber Orchestra of London, the Synchron Stage Orchestra and Korea's DITTO Orchestra (NC).
The full track credits on Qobuz, which lists the album under Simon Franglen, Ryo Kunihiko and NCSOUND, add many more writers, among them Rei Kondoh, Or Kribos, Michal Cielecki, Mattia Turzo, Apollon de Moura, Jean-Gabriel Raynaud and Cedric Baravaglio, together with NC composers such as Kyeom Lee, Inro Joo, Jinock Kim, Minsoo Kim, Hokeun Song, Hyunjun Cho and Woorim An. Kunihiko shares credit on many of the first chapter's tracks.
NC's announcement describes the album as blending nostalgia from the original Aion with Aion 2's own musical story. Three themes of the 2008 game return in new versions: Tower of Eternity, Forgotten Sorrow and Darkness in Your Heart. The Tower of Eternity, whose collapse sets up the sequel (Story and Lore), names both the old main theme and the new title track.
Chapter 1: Legacy of Light
Part 1 of 6 of Legacy of Light, released by NCSOUND as a pre-release, opens with the title track, The Tower of Eternity: Into the New World.

Music in the game and the trailers
The music has admirers inside NC's own publishing team. On the first global livestream in August 2026, one of NC America's hosts said the music was something he really loved about Aion 2, and that the character creator's theme was so good he spent about three hours there with his headphones on (Character Creation).
The global client reached its first wide western audience in the open Launch Scale Test of Sep 17 and 18, 2026. Reviewing the test for MassivelyOP, Tyler F.M. Edwards gave the soundtrack some of his strongest praise, alongside the world design he called the game's greatest strength (MassivelyOP; Reception and Revenue).
TheLazyPeon, summing up what he liked about the test, counted the music and sound effects as quite good.
For the global campaign NC also released its gamescom 2026 cinematic trailer in an Original Soundtrack version on Aug 31, 2026, six days after the trailer's premiere at Opening Night Live (Global Release).
