fromis_9 Collaboration

NC revealed it at the SUMMER FESTA showcase in Seoul on Jun 14, where the group performed for 150 invited players, and its Korean channel released the official video "fromis_9 in Atreia" the same day (NC). The collaboration added costumes, weapon skins, pets and wings inspired by the group, complete sets that transform the wearer into one of its members, dance emotes to the song "LIKE YOU BETTER" that nearby players can join, performance stages in towns and an event quest line (NC). NC announced its offline showcase in May 2026, taking applications on the official site until May 25 and choosing 150 players by lottery (NC). The Aion2 SUMMER FESTA took place at a hotel in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on Jun 14, 2026. It opened with a special performance by fromis_9, after which the development team presented the update roadmap, including Chapter 1: Lands of Sand and Snow, and talked with the players (NC).

0:00 NC's Korean channel followed the collaboration video with a making-of film the next day, titled "A day with fromis_9". Both videos are in Korean.

Costumes, transformations and pets

From Jun 17 the collaboration sold themed costumes, weapons, pets and wings inspired by fromis_9 (NC). NC's release of Jun 26 says the costumes match the outfits in the promotional video, that "equipping a full set allows players to transform into the likeness of fromis_9", and that the line-up also included pets, wings and a light stick weapon skin (NC).

The fan site Aion2 Hub's translation of the Korean patch notes gives more detail: a four-piece appearance set of chest, greaves, boots and gloves for each of the five members, a light stick skin for each weapon type usable only by the matching class, earring skins for each member, two pets, a pair of wings, and the two LIKE YOU BETTER highlight emotes, all on sale until the maintenance of Aug 12 (Aion2 Hub; Pets and Mounts; Flight and Wings).

9:55 The promotion was part of the towns for the rest of the summer. Touring a new city in his Morheim video of Jul 10, aLuckyRO passes the K-pop collaboration and its skins, which he says do not interest him.

Emotes and stage performances

The collaboration's emotes use dance moves synchronized to fromis_9's song "LIKE YOU BETTER", and nearby players can join in (NC). NC's later release describes two emotes based on the choreography of the group's signature track, which play the music automatically, and says players can take the stage on the fromis_9 collaboration stage that appears in towns (NC). The fan translation places the stages in Verteron and Altgard and says a performance, which up to five players can join, can be started only by a player who owns the second highlight emote.

7:23 A Korean creator's video from the first day shows how it works. Having learned the emote, he returns to the stage in the center of town, where a performance started by one player can be joined at any time by pressing a button, with a limit of five people.

10:08 He then finds that the first highlight emote is not enough to start a performance himself: the emote list requires Highlight 2, bought with Quna, and once he buys it he can start the stage straight away. He also shows where to turn down the event music in the audio settings for players who would rather not hear it.

The event quest

Until Aug 12, players could take part in a limited-time event, The Case of the Stolen Stage Props, whose completion rewarded three emotes and a limited-edition title (NC). The fan translation describes the titles as a one-time choice of member.

0:42 The Korean creator starts the quest from the stage planner beside the town stage, picks a single favorite member, and is sent to the special stage to track down the props that have gone missing.

4:42 Near the end of the quest line he remarks that the quest's characters are fully voiced, before the group thanks the player for rescuing the performance and invites them to watch.

End of the collaboration

The event ended with the Korean update of Aug 12, 2026, the date NC had given. According to the fan translation of that day's notes, the event quests could no longer be progressed and the NPCs and event objects in the towns were removed; performing on the stage remained possible, but stage effects such as fireworks no longer played (Aion2 Hub).
