Founder's Packs

0:13 The Founder's Packs are the optional paid bundles for the global release of Aion 2, sold on Steam and NC's PURPLE launcher since Jul 22, 2026. There are three tiers, Standard at US$24.99, Deluxe at US$49.99 and Ultimate at US$99.99, and each gives five days of early access, called Advanced Access, which opened on Sep 30, 2026 after two delays and ran to Oct 4, before the free-to-play launch on Oct 5. The higher tiers add cosmetic armor skins, a weapon skin, a pet and wings, and since August 2026 every tier also includes a 30-day Membership. Anders, reviewing the packs the day after they went on sale, starts with the Standard pack: its Early Access, its supply chest and its title.

US prices and contents are from NC's product notice (first posted Jul 22, revised Sep 28, 2026); euro and pound prices are the Steam storefront's for France, Germany and the UK on Sep 30, 2026, which match the €21.25 to €84.99 range mein-mmo reported.

The three tiers

NC presented the packs as a way to start early, collect some starter essentials and, above all, express oneself through special cosmetics (Steam, Jul 22, 2026).

0:40 The Standard pack's Daeva's Campaign Supply Chest holds ten each of Return, Courage, Speed, Benediction and Absorption Scrolls, a stock of life potions, serums and healing potions, 10,000 Power Shards and five Resurrection Spiritstones. Anders points out that everything except the Resurrection Spiritstones can be bought from general goods vendors, for a total he puts at a little under 250,000 Kina.

0:00 The Deluxe pack adds the Ascended Daeva Armor Skin, which NC describes as heavy metal and leather, and the Eternal Sun Weapon Skin, which bursts with sunfire; NC's showcase video presents the Deluxe tier.

3:51 Anders notes that in Korea and Taiwan these are premium cash-shop skins with no effects of their own, and that they do not count towards the closet's collection bonuses. Converting their earlier shop prices, he values the Deluxe cosmetics at about US$47, a figure he warns may differ on global.

0:00 The Ultimate pack adds the Daeva's Styling Chest, the white Moonlit Aria Armor Skin, the Black Dragon Pet, which is also a mount, and the gold-plated Blazing Sun Wings, shown in NC's Ultimate showcase (Flight and Wings).

4:46 By Anders's account the styling chest holds a customization voucher and a seven-day appearance change voucher, the Black Dragon is a cash-shop mount without the passive stats that pets collected in play provide, and the wings are likewise a skin with no effects. He totals the Ultimate pack's shop value at about US$121, again based on Korean and Taiwanese prices.

5:17 Society Of Gaming, showing the pack cosmetics in the Taiwanese client in July 2026, confirms the rule for mounts: pets bought with real money, such as the Black Dragon, carry no stats, while pets collected in the game do (Pets and Mounts; Cash Shop and Cosmetics). NC's own pack notice says the same of the global items: the title, the armor and weapon skins, the Black Dragon and the wings are appearance-only and grant no additional stats.

55:44 NC's own recap on its livestream of Aug 7, 2026 runs through the same three tiers: Standard with the five days, the supply chest and a Unique title; Deluxe with the Ascended Daeva and Eternal Sun sets; and Ultimate with the Moonlit Aria set, the Black Dragon pet and the Blazing Sun Wings.

1:35 EUTOPIA's guide of Sep 29, 2026, the day before Advanced Access, stresses that all three tiers give the same five-day head start and the same 30-day Membership, so Standard is mostly those two, Deluxe adds armor and weapon cosmetics for another US$25, and Ultimate adds more. He notes that the global client data identifies the Black Dragon as a special pet and mount, already maxed, reported to add no combat stats, and advises against buying Ultimate in the expectation of a power advantage.

Advanced Access

NC's gamescom press release of Aug 25, 2026 set five days of early access for Founder's Pack buyers from Sep 30 to Oct 4, before the official launch on Monday, Oct 5 (MassivelyOP, Aug 25, 2026). NC's schedule of Sep 29 put it at Sep 30, 06:00 PDT (13:00 UTC) to Oct 4, 22:00 PDT (Oct 5, 05:00 UTC), followed by maintenance until the global launch on Oct 5 at 06:00 PDT (13:00 UTC).

It did not open on time. NC first delayed the start by 30 minutes, letting the decryption of the pre-downloaded client begin as planned while the servers stayed in maintenance, then by a further 30 minutes "to resolve a few remaining issues", and Advanced Access opened at 07:00 PDT (14:00 UTC); NC gave every player ten Resurrection Spiritstones for the wait. Long queues followed on the most popular servers, for which NC gave everyone an Appearance Change Voucher the same afternoon, and it added three European server pairs during the day (Advanced Access; Servers).

7:39 The pack notes, as Anders read them in July, say that Advanced Access begins on Sep 30 and runs for five days, with the same start and end for every buyer, so a pack bought after Early Access has begun does not add extra days. NC's notice adds that a buyer joins at once if Advanced Access is already under way, and that maintenance and patches may make the playable time shorter than five days.

Advanced Access is limited to the platform where the pack was bought: a Steam purchase plays through Steam and a PURPLE purchase through PURPLE, although all players share the same servers (Platforms). The servers opened for Advanced Access stay separate from the launch servers for a while: from Oct 14, when free server transfers begin, their players may move only between Advanced Access servers, not to the servers added at launch (Steam, Sep 30, 2026). Those servers have their own Server Market until a Cross-Server Market opens after release (Market and Exchange).

Steam players who joined the open Launch Scale Test of Sep 17 and 18 had to uninstall the Playtest app and download Aion 2 separately for Advanced Access, while PURPLE players needed no further steps. Founder's Pack items were not available during the test (Steam, Aug 26, 2026).

Claiming the items

A buyer does not have to play Advanced Access to receive the contents. NC's help center says that items not claimed during early access can still be claimed on any server after it ends, through a dedicated Founder's Pack claim button. A second FAQ defines the three kinds of binding the pack items use: a character-bound item cannot be shared with other characters once claimed, a class-bound item only with characters of the same class, and a server-bound item is shared with every character on that server. The FAQ does not say which item is which; NC's pack notice marks the supply chest, the skin sets, the weapon skin chest, the styling chest and the wings as bound.

11:26 CrusherXGaming's advice in August 2026 was not to buy a pack for power, since there is none in them, but for the Early Access, the exclusive cosmetics and the 30 days of Membership, and to check whether pack items bind to a character before opening them.

When sales end

NC has given three different end dates. Its product notice sells the packs "until the end of Early Access period". Its notice of Sep 30, posted as Advanced Access opened, calls Oct 5 at 08:00 PDT (17:00 CEST) the last chance to buy, two hours after the global launch. NC America's press release of the same day says the pack is available "through Sunday, October 4". NC had not reconciled them as of Sep 30, 2026; on Oct 2 it repeated Oct 5 at 08:00 PDT on Steam as the last chance. All three dates have now passed. On Oct 13, 2026 Steam's store listing for Aion 2 showed the free game with no paid package attached, and NC's notices since the launch announce no new sale of the packs; its pack terms still allow components to return "in identical or similar forms".

Cosmetics for every character

The pack cosmetics were at first bound to one character, and on Oct 3, 2026, during Advanced Access, NC said many players had found that "a significant obstacle" when playing with friends on other servers or leveling other classes. It promised to make them usable on every character of the account, on any server: the Vanguard of Atreia title for every tier, the Ascended Daeva armor skin and Eternal Sun weapon skin from Deluxe, and the Moonlit Aria armor skin, Black Dragon pet and Blazing Sun Wings from Ultimate. The 30-day Membership and the supply and styling chests stayed one-time rewards. Players who now wanted a higher tier could upgrade on PURPLE, and on Steam could buy the higher pack and ask Customer Support to refund the lower one.

The change arrived with the patch of Oct 7, 2026. Buyers can now take the items of their tier for free from a dedicated Founder's Pack shop on every character and server, which NC says stays open until it announces otherwise; items a character already owns are not bought again, and NC plans a way to discard any duplicates. NC adds that skins taken twice through that shop do not count against the purchase limit of paid skins.

Pack owners who change servers should claim first. Server transfers open on Oct 14, 2026, and NC's notice of Oct 9 refuses a transfer while the account has unclaimed items in Shop Storage, "including the Founder's Pack". Characters made on the early access servers have their own week, from the maintenance of Oct 13 to that of Oct 20 (PDT), and may move only to another early access server of the same region and faction. The pack's Membership goes along: an active Membership is moved to the destination server and added to any Membership there (Servers).

The added Membership

The packs went on sale without premium currency or a subscription, and Hardcore Gamer reported on Jul 23 that many players online were upset about that, noting that launch packs for Lost Ark and Throne and Liberty had included one or both (Hardcore Gamer, Jul 23, 2026).

51:10 On NC's global livestream of Aug 7, 2026, NC's representative announced that after reviewing that feedback all three packs would include 30 days of Membership, both for players who had already bought one and for future buyers.

3:18 Anders reported the change the same day, noting that the product page had not yet been updated and that he expected the 30 days to be added to the Standard contents and so to all three tiers. NC's Steam post of Aug 21 confirmed it: every Founder's Pack bought previously or from then on includes a 30-day Special Quai Membership. On the stream NC also said the packs stay on sale through the Advanced Access period.

The 30 days count from the moment the player presses the activation button, not from the purchase. MassivelyOP's launch-day report of Sep 30 said the packs did not include subscription time; NC's pack notice, its Steam post of Aug 21 and its press release of Sep 30 all list a 30-day Special Quai Membership in every tier.

Exclusivity and terms

50:45 On the same stream NC answered comments that the pack cosmetics had been sold directly in the Korean version's shop: on the global version, it said, they would be available only in the Founder's Packs and not for direct sale afterwards.

7:11 The pack notes Anders read out on Jul 23 included a clause that certain components may be resold in identical or similar forms in the future; NC's statement came two weeks later. The same notes allowed refunds before the official launch, and afterwards within 14 days for players with under two hours of play who had not claimed any bundled items. NC's revision of Sep 28 keeps the 14 days and the two hours and adds that refunds follow Steam's or PURPLE's own policy.

6:20 Only one pack can be bought per account, so contents do not stack. A buyer can upgrade to a higher tier later by paying the difference and receives the missing items, and buying on both Steam and PURPLE does not extend Early Access, Anders explains. NC's notice sells the upgrades on PURPLE only.

Frequently asked questions

How much are the Aion 2 Founder's Packs? The Aion 2 Founder's Packs cost US$24.99 for Standard, US$49.99 for Deluxe and US$99.99 for Ultimate. On Steam on Sep 30, 2026 they cost €21.25, €42.49 and €84.99 in France and Germany, and £18.49, £36.99 and £73.99 in the UK.

When did Advanced Access start? Aion 2's Advanced Access started on Sep 30, 2026 at 07:00 PDT (14:00 UTC), an hour later than announced after two delays. It ran to Oct 4 at 22:00 PDT, and the game opened to everyone, on time, on Oct 5 at 06:00 PDT (13:00 UTC).

Can you still buy a Founder's Pack? No, as far as NC's notices and Steam show. NC gave Oct 5, 2026 at 08:00 PDT as the last chance to buy an Aion 2 Founder's Pack, while its press release said through Oct 4; on Oct 13, 2026 Steam's listing showed no paid package. Advanced Access is over, so a pack would no longer bring early access.

Can I use Founder's Pack cosmetics on all my characters? Yes. Since Aion 2's patch of Oct 7, 2026, a free Founder's Pack shop gives the title and cosmetics of your tier to every character on every server.

Do you have to play Advanced Access to get the items? No. According to NC's help center, unclaimed Aion 2 Founder's Pack items can be claimed on any server after early access ends, through a Founder's Pack claim button.

Do Founder's Packs include Membership? Yes. All three Aion 2 Founder's Pack tiers include 30 days of Special Quai Membership, added on Aug 7, 2026 and applied to earlier purchases too. The 30 days start when the Membership is activated.

Do the packs give a gameplay advantage? NC's notice for the Aion 2 Founder's Packs says the title, skins, pet and wings are appearance-only with no additional stats, and the Standard supply chest holds common scrolls, potions and five Resurrection Spiritstones. The main practical benefit is the five-day head start.

Can you buy more than one Founder's Pack? No. Aion 2 allows one Founder's Pack per account; a buyer can upgrade to a higher tier on PURPLE by paying the difference, and Advanced Access does not stack.

Will the Founder's Pack cosmetics be sold later? NC said on Aug 7, 2026 that on Aion 2's global version they would be available only in the packs. The pack notes of July had allowed that components could be resold in identical or similar forms.

Do I have to claim my Founder's Pack before a server transfer? Yes. NC's transfer notice of Oct 9, 2026 blocks a transfer while the account has unclaimed items in Shop Storage, the Founder's Pack included. Claim them, then apply; the free Founder's Pack shop gives the cosmetics again on the new server.

Can Advanced Access characters transfer to launch servers? No. In Aion 2's first transfer period, characters on early access servers can move only to other early access servers of their region and faction, from the maintenance of Oct 13 to the maintenance of Oct 20, 2026 (PDT).

Does the pack's 30-day Membership move with my character? Yes. An active Membership is transferred to the destination server and combined with any Membership already there, and is removed from the old server (NC, Oct 9, 2026).

What do Founder's Pack owners keep now that Aion 2 is free? The Vanguard of Atreia title and the tier's skins, pet and wings on every character and server, the one-time supply and styling chests, and the 30 days of Membership once activated. The five-day head start ended with Advanced Access on Oct 4, 2026.
